Sales and Marketing

Surrey Cedar is currently searching for an ambitious, motivated, hands-on, goals oriented person to join the Sales and Marketing Team. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to develop and implement marketing/sales initiatives as well as possess complimentary education qualifications. As a part of the Surrey Cedar team the successful candidate can expect to assist in all levels of operations, work long hours and face daily challenges. If successful, the candidate will have the chance to make meaningful contributions and share in the success of a growing company. Major responsibilities will include the following:

• Construction of sales projections/budget;
• Source out new customers in different markets;
• Establish relationships with new customers;
• Strengthen relationships with existing customers;
• Increase product mix and volume to existing customer base;
• Develop International sales and marketing plan;
• Establish distributor programs in target International markets;
• Organize and run trade missions and trade shows in International markets.
• Research and quantify demand by region;
• Research customer usage patterns and purchasing requirements;
• Competition analysis (direct and indirect);

Residential Sales Estimator

The Residential Sales Estimator will work closely with the Installations Project Manager, as well as with installation crews and yard staff. All leads are coordinated through the office through extensive advertising campaigns. This position offers a competitive compensation packages, good benefit programs and excellent bonus and commission structures as well as the opportunity to build the future of this organization. Key requirements include sales, customer service, supervisory skills and the ability to focus on attention to detail in presentation and housekeeping. Creative merchandising skills and an understanding of simple budgets including gross margin, and inventory management are strong assets. The ability to multitask, prioritize and follow through with a variety of tasks and issues is critical for this position. Persons with previous knowledge of the lumber or building store industries would be an asset, but not required.

Retail Yard Staff

These are full time positions required for persons who are enthusiastic, highly motivated, organized, self starters, and have strong interpersonal skills.

Retail Yard Staff are required to pick orders for the installation crews, help customers; schedule deliveries for customer products, and keep the yard organized and attractive.

Key requirements include sales, customer service, the ability to focus on attention to detail in presentation and housekeeping. The applicant must be able to multitask, prioritize and follow through with a variety of tasks and issues is critical for this position. Persons with previous knowledge of the lumber or building store industries would be an asset, but not required.
